Brand New Beginner Yoga Series

Have you always wanted to try yoga, but did not know how to start?  This series is designed for you.  Kate will step you through the basics of yoga, including common poses, breathing techniques, and basic meditation skills.  Adjustments and modification for will be offered throughout each class.  Slowly build both strength and flexibility over this 7 week series.  No prior experience is required and all are welcome.

Child Birth Basics

Childbirth classes help expectant parents learn about and prepare for labor and birth. They can help you to build confidence in your body's ability to give birth. They provide you with the opportunity to discuss any fears you might have with the instructor and other couples in your class. They will educate your partner in ways to support you during labor and birth. You will learn about pain relief options, including massage, relaxation, breathing and medications.

During this class, we will focus on the stages and process of labor, comfort measures, and birth plan considerations. The cost is $90 per couple.

Shake Your Soul ®-The Yoga of Dance

This gentle release yoga is Forrest-inspired with a family friendly vibe. Kate believes in practicing the principles of self-love with grace and consciousness. Essentially Restorative Training

This one day training is for yoga instructors who already have taken a Restorative Training and/ or are already teaching Restorative classes.
We will explore essential oils by grouping them energetically and pairing them to the poses. There will be a practice, instruction about safety and contraindications with the oils, an opportunity to explore over a hundred oils and an opportunity to think critically about lesson planning. There will be no instruction on how to teach Restorative yoga in this training.

Essentially Restorative Yoga

Join us for our monthly Essentially Restorative class on the third Thursday of each month from 7-8:30. These poses are paired with medicinal quality essential oils to enhance the energetics of the pose.

Each class is created with a different theme. Themes include : increasing relaxation, decreasing insomnia, increasing immunity, enhancing spirituality and meditation, reducing pain, and the chakra strengthening series. 

Judy has been teaching Restorative yoga for more than a decade. She has completed four Restorative Trainings and has taught hundreds of teachers the art of restorative yoga. She has been a medicinal aromatherapist for five years. This her signature class which is exclusively offered at Now & Zen.
